Oceon Energy is delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pentarch Offshore Solutions, operator of the Port of Edrom, near Eden, New South Wales.
A partnership for electrified port infrastructure
The partnership will see Oceon and Pentarch Offshore Solutions jointly explore electrification across marine and port operations at the Port of Edrom, supporting the facility’s emerging role as a multi-functional marine and energy terminal.
The collaboration will also assess how electrified port infrastructure can contribute to regional grid resilience and unlock new industry opportunities on the NSW south coast, a region positioned for significant growth as Australia’s energy transition accelerates.
A nationally significant port
The Port of Edrom is rapidly emerging as a nationally significant hub for marine and offshore energy operations, with a growing ecosystem of partners committed to its development.

What our leaders said

New industries and operations will bring new energy demands, and Oceon is thrilled to be working with Pentarch to help the port become a critical energy hub for the region.”
William Kanavan, Managing Director of Pentarch Offshore Solutions, said: “This collaboration reflects a much bigger shift underway in how ports operate.
